School and much more

Support and discover natural talents, with which a man was born. Do not harm or alter what was trusted to you. Base on the principle, that a person has everything – all talents, all resources – respect their nature, their path. We tell it to ourselves, leaders and teachers. This vision we share with parents, who come to us. Out of this grow our values:

Unconditionality. Understanding of age peculiarities, the ability to assist a child carefully on every stage of life. We work with parents on creation of supporting environment also at home.

Consciousness. The ability to rely on yourself, make choices, analyze, make conclusions and act.

Community. Another person is a value, we do not compare a person to a person, we know our boundaries and do not break others’.

Our experience

We are pioneers in private education in Montenegro. The official date of the centre’s opening – 2010. We know all laws of the country, take part in local life, open to all children and families of all countries, all continents.

We are a part of democratic schools’ community IDEC and implement the ideas of humanitarian pedagogics. We constantly participate in outgoing seminars and build the shared community. Educative trips to Italy are the essential part of all pre-school teachers.

Probabilistic pedagogy and teaching of “ardent” reading and writing are the basics of primary school approach. The official school supervisor is a psychotherapist and a specialist in age peculiarities. Constant teaching of teachers, parents is our good tradition/ It gives us the opportunity to create the shared community of children support and the community of conscientious parents. We are the organizers of great town events (New Year Bazaar, Day of Science).

Since 2020 we have been making Educational HUB for all teenagers of Montenegro. This is the start of Co-Learning Community creation, a unique and way-leading school development in global perspective.

We have the status of the approved Pearson Edexcel centre.

DA is following the British National Curriculum on the principles of humane pedagogics. Our statement “School and much more” demonstrates our attitude to education: exciting world, which is your school, is behind the borders: the borders of school walls, borders of other people’s understanding, borders of already discovered and known. That is why the British Curriculum combined with our experience forms our school, and the content is our unique atmosphere of respect and openness, creativity, freedom and rules.

WHY Dukley academy?

1

The internal philosophy of the school, where there are rules and there is no comparison of children (so there can be no bullying here and your child will be safe and able to reach their potential).

2

The British educational program, since the school is a member of the IPC (so everything is built according to the British system recognised in the world, and your child will receive the same education as in Britain, but living in the sun and by the sea).

3

Certificate of Young Learners English, KET, PET, FCE, since the school is a Cambridge examination center (British Council, Serbia) (so the school has a clear work plan and an outlined educational “frame”, despite all the freedom and atmosphere of acceptance, so my child will have a document proving their knowledge).

4

A trial week of attendance, where we look at “subtle skills” (communication, teamwork, respect for other people's borders and the ability to defend their own, the ability to rely on themselves, a non-standard approach to solving problems etc.). This means that a team of children who relate to the values and have similar family rules will be selected. You entrust your child to such a team.

5

A small number of students in classes – up to 10 people (this means that your child will have enough individual and dedicated attention and the possibility of correct group work at the same time).

6

A variety of activities that exceed the usual program. In addition to English, Math, ICT, Science, there is Art, Music, Drama, educational campaigns, a walk, an active laboratory (which means there will be a rich offer for your child and they will be able to develop their different facets).

7

Working day from 9:00 to 16:30 with no homework (so you don't have to become a tutor for your own child. You can enjoy each other's communication and develop your internal family relationships. And you'll have more time for yourself!)

8

The annual fee starts at 14,000 euros. Dukley Academy offers internationally recognized British-level education accredited by Pearson, featuring small class sizes and personalized attention for every student. Our team of native-speaking teachers from around the globe ensures students have opportunities for immersive language learning and cultural exchange.

9

A teaching staff of 6 subject teachers - native speakers and 2 local experts + a methodologist + a psychotherapist (this means that such a professional and balanced staff will think not only about knowledge and the educational process, but also about the psychological and emotional comfort of your child).

10

Great room inside: a lot of open space, an equipped laboratory and a computer lab, a lot of books and a very creative design (so my child's imagination and curiosity will have space to roam).

11

Excellent location outside: protected area, private beach, forest (children will not be locked within 4 walls and will continue to develop naturally. Rest assured about security due the presence of professional security and cameras).

12

Primary school, preschool work only offline  (after the pandemic and quarantine, we know for sure that young children can’t study online and it is important to us that DA shares this sustainable support of development in childhood).

Dukley Academy

The philosophy of the unconditioned space is uniquely stitched into the British educational program.
The whole process is accompanied by a supervisor and subject teachers-native speakers. Education at the 5-11 years stage is exclusively offline with a large variety of additional clubs and projects.
Our goal is to prepare the child for emotional stability and self-directed learning. Education at the 12-18 years stage is mixed with the use of online technologies, face-to-face support, clubs and project activities.
Our goal is to develop self-observation and self-directed learning skills, master personal  specialization, and create a portfolio for admission to international universities.

Kindergarten

Kindergarten is a space inspired by Reggio where we support the parents, help to preserve the resources due to the correct focus of attention at different ages, competently accompany the psycho-emotional maturation of the child, instill healthy eating habits, conduct professional psychological training of educators.

HUB

Since 2020, we have been implementing the idea of a co-learning space, open to everyone (adult and teenager), with the aim of immersion in the profession, creating the first start-ups, developing a professional portfolio, expanding competencies.

Here the teenager receives career guidance, support in preparation for admission. Social projects are also being implemented in this space. It is a space without linguistic and national borders.

Theatre

Controlled Reggio-provocation promotes the birth from the child’s inner silence, a multitude of images, impulses of pure creativity, provoking a plasticity of the brain, unattainable for an adult.

Only here unique baby performances (for children from 0 to 3 years old) take place, developing the brain, attention, empathy. Performances are held for everyone from 3 years old in Montenegrin and English, there are also non-verbal performances.
